The latest on COVID-19
As with all businesses in the country, Ames continues to monitor the Coronavirus and follow the applicable guidelines (state and federal) needed to ensure teammate, customer and supplier safety and health. It has been a while since we have provided an update and, while the pandemic has largely been affecting the Midwest since our last update, it is currently, as you all know, been impacting New Jersey and the surrounding areas.
With the uptick in confirmed cases in New Jersey, Governor Murphy has issued another Executive Order in an effort to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. Executive Order 194 mandates both private and public sector employers to follow health and safety protocols that will service to protect their in-person workforces. In addition to what Ames has implemented since the beginning of the pandemic, this executive order will also require Ames to have employees and outside service providers (i.e. logistics personnel) complete self-assessment checklists consistent with CDC guidelines daily before entering either of the two plants in which we operate – Wantage and Hamburg, NJ.
Ames continues to be fortunate during these unprecedented times. In fact, in our previous blog posting, we have been noted in a recent NJ Herald article as “not missing a beat”. Though we do not know how COVID-19 will impact Ames during this period of time, we can only hope to continue to remain open and operational, supplying our great customers with the critical elastomeric components they need to be successful in their respective businesses.
As always, we appreciate your continued support and ask that you too remain diligent in your own protocols so that your organization remains safe and healthy.
Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact ames@amescorp.com.
Sincerely,
The Ames Team
