HAMBURG, NJ – January 18, 2023 – Ames Rubber Corporation has announced its acquisition of equipment and top talent from the rubber related operations of Star Glo Industries, a manufacturer of high-precision rubber components and assemblies. This acquisition will significantly enhance Ames’s capabilities, allowing them to increase production capacity of custom rubber-to-metal parts, manufacture metal components in-house, manage small batches of rubber materials, and ultimately, become a single source for rubber-to-metal supply.

The acquisition of Star Glo’s advanced manufacturing equipment includes rubber injection molding presses, 13-axis Swiss screw machines, automated multi-axis machining centers, conventional EDM equipment, and small-batch rubber mixing mills. Additionally, Ames will onboard several Star Glo rubber industry professionals with a combined 135 years of experience.
