Ames Team Participates in March for Babies
Hamburg, NJ (May 9, 2018) – The Ames team participated in the 2018 March of Dimes Skylands March for Babies on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at the Sussex County Fairgrounds. The March of Dimes has been fighting for bettering health care for moms and babies since 1958.
According to the March of Dimes website, about half a million babies are born premature or with birth defects in the US each year, with over 100,000 babies in New Jersey alone, according to the March of Dimes Perinatal Data Center. The money raised from the walk is used to help moms and babies from across the country at every stage from preconception to post-delivery with research, programs, and education. At the time of the walk, over $64,000 of the $90,000 goal was raised.
